Michael Dixon, 75, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Wednesday at home, surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of the Camillus area, Michael was a member of the Camillus Elks, Lodge No.0031. He was a proud graduate of St. Patrick’s High School Class of 1968. Michael was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era and past vice commander of the Tipperary Hill American Legion, Post 1361. Michael received his Associate’s Degree in Business from Onondaga Community College. He was a customer service manager with the New York Telephone Co. for 22 years before retiring in 1998. Michael was a long-time boater in the Thousand Islands but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.
Michael was predeceased by his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Diane of Camillus; son, Ryan of Liverpool; daughter-in-law, Jennifer of Syracuse; grandson, Jameson; brothers, Patrick (Judy) of Post Mills, VT, Barry (Carol) of Camillius, and Gary (Diane) of Lakeland; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To celebrate Michael’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow.
A Celebration of Life will continue with reception details announced following the funeral service.
