Mildred Irene Rubel

Mildred Irene Rubel, 89, formerly of Howlett Hill, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Camillus for 56 years. Mildred was a 1945 graduate of Marcellus High School. She worked for the Syracuse Developmental Center for 18 years before retiring in 1989 and previously worked for the NY Telephone Co. for nine years. Mildred was a former communicant of The Church of St. Michael & St. Peter. She loved cooking and gardening. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Edward, in 1998. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Rubel (Byron) Hartley and Susan (Leonard) Savedoff; son, Thomas (Leslie); and four grandchildren. Services were private.
