Ngoc Tran, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at Upstate University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Vietnam, Ngoc was of Chinese descent and came to the United States in 1982, where she built a life rooted in hard work, family, and compassion. She was employed with Wegmans for 15 years, where she worked as a chef and was known for her dedication and care in everything she prepared.
Ngoc found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She loved gardening, spending time with her family, and especially caring for her nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
Ngoc was predeceased by her parents, Khoan Tran and De Ho.
Surviving are her sisters, Anna Ho of Syracuse, Quan (Duong Ho) Tran of Syracuse, Sylvia (Quang Thoai Bang) Tran of Mississauga, and Jessica Wong of Syracuse; brothers, Kwai (Lau King Chung) Chan of Hong Kong, Wing Shen (Mei Ping Fung) Chan of Hong Kong, Alan Tran of Syracuse, and Jerry (Qui Le) Tran of Syracuse; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
To celebrate Ngoc’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Ngoc will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
