Patricia (Kernan) Butler, 81, of Camillus, passed away on Sunday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born and raised in Syracuse, Patricia later lived in New York City, Boston, and Buffalo before returning to the Syracuse area in 1974. She was a proud graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Services from Syracuse University.

A faithful communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Patricia served on the parish council and played a key role in establishing the St. Joseph’s Church Nursery School. She was an enthusiastic antique collector and a passionate lifelong learner. Above all, Patricia treasured the time she spent with her family.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Helen Kernan.
Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas; brother, Robert E. (Mary Ellen) Kernan of Seneca Falls; brother-in-law, Edward (Frances Abriola) and several nieces and nephews.
