Patricia S. Reschke

Patricia S. Reschke, 92 years young, of Camillus, joined our Lord peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2025.

Patty, as she was known by her closest friends, grew up in Lyncourt. She was a proud graduate of The Convent School in Syracuse and a loyal alumna of Le Moyne College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She retired after 20 plus years as a social worker for Onondaga County, where she positively impacted the lives of families and made life-long friends.

A long-time communicant of Holy Family Parish in Syracuse, Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bridge, doing scratch-off lottery tickets, taking weekly trips to Central New York casinos, watching and attending Syracuse University Athletics and enjoying over 15 winters "snowbirding" with her husband in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband of nearly 62 years, Richard P. "Dick" Reschke; father, Dr. Stuart J. Simmons; mother, Marjorie M. (Michael) Gustina; sister, Gloria (Timothy R., D.D.S.) Gallivan; and sisters in-law, Erdine (Paul) Leskoske and Marilyn (Joseph) Jackson.

Surviving are her son, Michael (Beth) Reschke of Satellite Beach, FL; daughter, Kathleen (David) Reschke-Newmiller of Syracuse; five nieces, including her "favorite niece,” Maureen A. Gallivan of Camillus, Susan (Paul) Shubmehl of Syracuse, Patricia Jackson of Syracuse, MaryBeth Donovan of Cicero, and Eileen (Jon) Bok of Cary, NC; nephew, Mark (Joanne) Leskoske of Liverpool; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great grand-nieces, and a great grand-nephew.

To celebrate Patricia’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chaple Dr., Syracuse.

Patricia will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Mausoleum, DeWitt.
