Pavlos "Paul" Gatzopulos

Pavlos “Paul” Gatzopulos, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, at Crouse Hospital.

Born and raised in Niki, Florina, Greece, Paul was the son of Trianon and Zoe Gatzopoulos. After completing his education in Greece, he spent time living and working in Western Germany before immigrating to the United States, where he built a new life for himself and his family.

Paul was employed for many years as a machine operator with B.G. Sulzle Corporation, where he remained until his retirement. A hardworking and devoted family man, Paul took great pride in his Greek heritage and remained deeply connected to family both near and far.

Above all, Paul’s greatest joy came from the people he loved, and he treasured the relationships he shared with family throughout the United States, Greece and Australia.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Vasiliki “Vicki” Gatzopulos; parents, Trianon and Zoe Gatzopoulos; and brothers of Niki, Florina, Greece.

Surviving are his son, Philip; and many loving family members in the United States, Greece and Australia.

Services will be private.
