Peter John Straka

Peter John Straka, 63, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Onondaga Junior Senior High School. Peter was employed by Value Mailers for over five years, and previously worked as a car detailer for several dealerships in the local area for many years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, was an avid fan of NASCAR, and a collector of Hess toy trucks. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Peter was predeceased by his mother, Ruth; and brother, Michael.

Surviving are his father, Paul (Elaine Day) of Union Springs; sister, Elaine Straka of Marietta; brother, Paul of Marietta; and niece, Victoria Graf of Liverpool.
