Randy A. Reed

Randy A. Reed, 73, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully at Upstate University Hospital on Monday.

Born in Robinson, IL and raised in Tuscola, IL, Randy was a graduate of Tuscola High School. He later moved to Marcellus in 2017, where he made his home for many years. Randy worked as the superintendent of Tuscola Stone Company for over 25 years before retiring in 2007.

Randy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially spending time with Murphy, his beloved dog and best friend, often taking walks through Marcellus Park. One of his greatest joys was taking his grandson, Joshua, fishing during the summer at Skaneateles Lake and local streams. He was extremely proud of both of his sons and was especially thankful for his son Dustin’s service in the United States Military.

Randy also had a passion for cars and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a proud supporter of the NRA and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Randy will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the pride he carried for those he loved.

Randy was predeceased by his wife, Debra; and parents, Jimmy and Shirley.

Surviving are his sons, Brian (Julia) and Dustin; daughter, Amy Reed-Puttoff; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Rick (Sandi), Johnny (Tereza) and Scott (Traci); and several nieces and nephews.

There were no calling hours.

Private services were held for the family.

Randy was laid to rest in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sidney, IL.
