Richard J. Krzyzak

Richard Joseph Krzyzak “Ricky Joe”, 39, of Camillus, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at home. Born in Dallas, TX, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a graduate of West Genesee High School. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and target shooting. He also enjoyed attending concerts, especially the Grateful Dead. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Richard was predeceased by his father, James; and his maternal grandfather, H. Murray Schell.

Surviving are his mother, Laurie (Mark) van der Kloet of Fernandina Beach, FL; brother, Luke (Amanda) Cole of Jordan; paternal grandparents, Richard and Janice Krzyzak of Camillus; maternal grandmother Gail Joslin of Clinton; one niece Miya; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, March 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
