Richard “Dick” E. Rosenberger, 94, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at Upstate University Hospital on Saturday.
A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Richard was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Several years ago, he had the honor of participating in an Honor Flight with his son, an experience he treasured deeply.
Richard dedicated more than 40 years of service to General Electric, where he worked as a supervisor until his retirement in 1992.
A faithful member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Richard was actively involved in the life of the congregation and was a devoted member of the church choir for many years. His faith, music, and fellowship with others were important parts of his life. He was also a member of the Masonic fraternity.
Richard enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures, including golfing, bowling, boating, and traveling. He loved spending time with family and friends, never passing up an opportunity to gather with those he loved. Known for his warm personality and quick wit, Richard could always tell a good joke and enjoyed sharing laughter with everyone around him.
Richard was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; and his parents, Edwin and Katherine Rosenberger.
Surviving are his daughter, Sandra (Jeffrey) Kalbach of Camillus; sons, Steven (Debra) Rosenberger of Syracuse and Mark (Melissa) Rosenberger of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Morgan Kalbach Greeno, Daniel Kalbach, Kristin Rosenberger Fahsel, David Rosenberger, Jessica Rosenberger Bowles, Ben Rosenberger, and Hannah Rosenberger Redman; and great-grandchildren, Leah, Jenna, Max, Ella, Bailee, Mia, and Robert.
