Robert R. Binns Jr.

Robert R. "Dad" Binns Jr., 70, of Mottville, passed away Friday at home, surrounded by his family. A lifetime resident of Mottville, he was a 1964 graduate of Skaneateles High School. Rob was employed with the NYS Department of Transportation for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He was a former member and past assistant fire chief with the Mottville Fire Company for many years. Rob was a current member and safety officer with the Camillus Fire Department. He was also an avid guitar enthusiast and jack-of-all-trades. Rob was predeceased by his parents; brother, James; and sister, Barbara Knoski. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Shirley; sons, Scott Binns of Camillus and Brendon (Mindy) Binns of Mottville; sister, Beverly Feeney of Skaneateles; grandchildren, Breanna, Aiden, Xavier and Avery; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 West Genesee St, Camillus.
