Robert D. Shea

Robert D. Shea, 60, of Skaneateles, passed away peacefully on Sunday at home.

A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Robert was a graduate of Bishop Ludden High School and Onondaga Community College. He dedicated his career to caring for others, working as a surgical technologist at Upstate University Hospital for 28 years before joining Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists, where he worked for six years until his retirement in 2026.

Robert was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He had a passion for antiquing and photography and was an avid scuba diver who loved exploring the world and experiencing new places. Above all, Robert cherished his family and treasured the time he spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his many interests, his love of adventure, and the special memories he created with his family.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Kathryn Davern.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Janice; daughters, Meghan (Eric) Shea-Frederick and Callah (Mark) Erives, both of Camillus; granddaughters, Adaline and Abigail Frederick; father, John of Syracuse; sisters, Sarah Shea of Camillus and Martha (Dan) Savage of Onondaga Hill; brother, Timothy of Cazenovia; and many nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Robert’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at Northside Baptist Church, 7965 Oswego Rd., Liverpool.

A funeral service will follow at the church.
