Rudy Carlson

Rudy Carlson, 97, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Loretto Cunningham. Born in Proctor, VT, he lived in the New England area before moving to Syracuse in 1965. Rudy was a graduate of Proctor High School and Springfield College. He worked in sales and retired from R. Carlson Sales after many years. He was a member of Wetzel Road Church of Christ. Rudy was predeceased by his wife, Doris; daughter, Linda Powell; and brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Dorothy Carlson. Surviving are his son, Wayne (Joan) of Syracuse; daughter, Nancy Jamieson of Solvay; grandchildren, Kara (Neil) James, David (Braunice) Jamieson, Tara (Jason) Taylor, Michael (Cathy) Carlson and Dana Carlson; 10 great-grandchildren; and nephew, Richard (Jean) Carlson. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vermont. The family would like to thank Loretto’s amazing staff on the 9th Floor of the Cunningham Bldg. for all their care.
