Sandra J. Bristol-Dendis, 83, of Camillus, passed away Friday at home, surrounded by loved ones. Sandi will be remembered for her love of cats, books, quick wit, lively spirit, and love for her family.
Sandi was born in 1942 to Helen and William Fox of Interlaken. She graduated from Interlaken Central High School in 1960. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Ted Bristol, who predeceased her in 2002, and together they shared 38 years of marriage and raised two daughters, Lynnette and Denise.
Later in life, following a class reunion, Sandi reconnected with a former classmate and found love again. In 2004, she married Paul Dendis of Syracuse. Together, they enjoyed dancing, traveling, spending time with family, and attending the New York State Fair.
Sandi was predeceased by her husband, Ted Bristol; parents; and brother, Herald Potts.
Surviving are her loving husband of 22 years, Paul Dendis; beloved children, Lynnette (Tim) Carney of Contoocook, NH, Denise (Pete) Bristol of Valrico, FL, Paula Dendis of Syracuse, and Mike Dendis of Camillus; grandchildren, Spencer, Maggie (Cody), and Jessie; great-granddaughter, Hazel; brother, Tom (Beverly) Fox; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Camillus Elks Lodge, 6117 Newport Rd., Camillus, NY 13031.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Sandra Bristol-Dendis to the CNY Cat Coalition, P.O. Box 6182, Syracuse, NY 13217, or online at cnycatcoalition.org/donate/.
