Sharon R. Deitz

Sharon R. Deitz, 78, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Central Technical High School and communicant of Holy Family Church. Sharon was a life member of the Baldwinsville VFW Post #153 Auxilary and Mattydale American Legion Post #1832. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Sharon was predeceased by her twin brother, Gerald; brother, Allen; sister, Ruth Welch; and companion, Emil Laufer.

Surviving are her daughters, Christina Stempien of Fairmont, WV, and Cheryl (Charles “Chuck”) Baye of Whitesboro; sister, Esther O'Neal of Red Oak, TX; sister-in-law, Joanne of Syracuse; grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) Capuana and Brandon Baye; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. 

Sharon will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
