Shearl "Bonnie" Germinio

Shearl "Bonnie" Germinio, 93, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she lived in Brooksville, FL, during the winter months. Shearl retired from G.C. Murphy Co. after 13 years and previously worked at General Electric. A former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Warners, she enjoyed gardening and going to the casino. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Shearl’s family would like to thank the staff on the “C” Unit and nurses on the second floor of The Centers at St. Camillus for their loving care and compassion given to her.

Shearl was predeceased by her husband, Patsy in 2007; sons, Joseph in 2012 and Patrick in 2022; twin sister, Shearlee Bohemier in 1994; sister, Marion Rood; and parents, Wesley and Marion Monnell.

Surviving are her daughter, Patricia “Patty” Smith of Camillus; grandchildren, Patsy (Roger) Delano, Holly Mayersky, Joseph (Erin) Germinio, Anthony (Sidney) Germinio, Kimberly Germinio and Jason (Caren) Germinio; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Amber, Taylor, Austin, Allison, Landon, Jack and Bodie; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24 at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

A private burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
