Sheila (Leary) Hannon, 68, of Camillus, died Monday, July 11, 2005 at home. Born in Brasher Falls on Saturday, July 18, 1936, she was the daughter of Daniel and Helen Leary. She lived in the village of Camillus for 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church. Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Gene Hannon, in 1981 and her sister, Veronica Puffet, in 1992. She adored her grandchildren and was proud of her Irish heritage. Surviving are daughters, Sharon Hannon (Joe Palmer) of Camillus, Pat Hannon (Tom Hoover) of Rome, Ellen (Pat) Young of Queensbury; sons, Daniel (Michelle) Hannon of Saranac Lake, Michael (Jennifer) Hannon of Golden, Colorado; sister, Mary Leary of Marcellus; brother, Timothy Leary of Baldwinsville; and grandchildren, Erin Young, Meghan Young, Maureen Hoover, Cassidy Hannon and Colin Hannon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and her feline companion, K.C. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. The family extends their gratitude and love to Sheila's Maxwell Road neighbors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CNY Children's Hospital at University Hospital, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
