Stewart E. Kyle

Stewart E. Kyle, 92, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Auburn, passed away on September 17, 2026.

Stewart was a longtime member and past chief of the Mottville Fire Company, proudly serving his community for many years. He worked for many years as shop superintendent for the General Crushed Stone Company. Stewart was also a skilled heavy equipment technician and later drove a tractor-trailer for a local beer distributor. His many years of service and hard work reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to his community.

Stewart was predeceased by his parents, Wayne and Lula (Taber) Kyle; wife, Margaret Hotaling; and siblings, Hilda Stevens (Stacy) and Janet (Robert) Green.

Surviving are his long-time companion, Mary Jane Murdick, of Leesburg, FL; sons, Robert (Connie) Kyle of Skaneateles, Raymond (Michael) Kyle-Ducharme of Syracuse, and Paul Kyle of Millsboro, DE; siblings, Harold (Marge), Carl, Marilyn Jordan, Arlene (Carl) Rode, and Roger (John Gergel); five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Rural Cemetery, State Route 34, Hannibal.
