Thomas Francis Kowalewski

Thomas Francis Kowalewski, a respected figure in the realm of tax law and finance, passed away on January 28 at the age of 71 in Fullerton, CA. Born on December 27, 1952, in Syracuse, he was the beloved son of Carolyn Grace (Sacco) and the late Stanley Joseph Kowalewski.

Thomas's journey in education led him to graduate from Cicero-North Syracuse High School in 1971, and he further pursued his academic interests by earning a Master of Studies in Law Taxation from the University of Southern California. His dedication to his field was evident throughout his career, where he established himself as the proprietor of Any State Tax Association in Fullerton for over three decades. Additionally, he served as a trusted financial consultant, offering invaluable insights to his clients.

Before settling in California, Thomas contributed his expertise to various organizations, including R.E. Dietz Co. in Syracuse and Princess Cruise Line, where he worked as an auditor. His professional endeavors were marked by diligence, precision, and a commitment to excellence.

Thomas was not only a distinguished professional but also enjoyed time with family and was an outdoor enthusiast. He found solace and joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially golf and fishing outings with the Kowalewski family on Oneida Lake and the St. Lawrence River.

Thomas was predeceased by his father, Stanley; brother, David; grandparents, Constantia and Rosalia Kowalewski and Frank and Frances Sacco; godparents, Roseanne and James LaValle; aunts, Patricia Sacco Popps, Helen Macko, Ann Pikulinski, and Irene Feeney; and uncles, John Kowalewski, Vincent, Anthony, Robert, Carmen, and Richard Sacco. 

Surviving are his mother, Carolyn of Syracuse; brother, Gary (Thanida Tacheta) of California; aunt, Lois Sacco; and uncles, Alexander Kowalewski, and Frank J. and Ronald J. Sacco. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
