Valentina Radionova, 73, of Syracuse, passed away in peace on Monday at Upstate University Hospital, with her family by her side. Born and raised in Ukraine, she immigrated to the United States in 1998. Valentina was a woman of faith and was an active member of the Slavic Baptist Church. She found solace and strength in her spiritual community and contributed to various church activities. Valentina had a passion for reading and found great joy in delving into books. Above all else, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved family.
Valentina will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Valentina was predeceased by her parents, Yakov and Anna Radionov; and sister, Zinaida Znachenko.
Surviving are her son, Vitaliy (Oksana) Radionov; siblings, Nadia Arnautov, Natalie (Vladimir) Konstantinidi, Yelena (Pavel) Sukhorukov, Svetlana (Arkadiy) Kazantsev, Aleksandr (Yelena) Radionov; and Lyudmila (Petr) Gura; and many nieces and nephews.
To celebrate Valentina’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 12, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee Street, Camillus, NY 13031. First service will follow in the funeral home.
Second service honoring Valentina’s life will be held Wednesday, December 13 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Valentina will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
