Virginia H. Brennan, 92, loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Chittenango.
Born in Brewerton and a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Ginny was an eternal optimist. Always active, she loved traveling, golfing, gardening, and cooking for family and friends.
Ginny retired from her position as trade show coordinator at Inficon after 13 years and previously worked at Nichols Business Equipment for 22 years. She was a member and former president of the Administrative Management Society, a member of the Upstate Medical Center Advocates, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Ginny was predeceased by her her first husband, Robert Langdon in1980; her second husband, William Brennan in 2013; parents, Royal and Cecile Hinman; brothers, Hugh, Bernard and Roy Hinman; and sisters, Ruby Baston, Sharon Sheedy, and Bobbi Weiss.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah (Wesley) Weiss; stepdaughters, Cathleen Patterelli, Kerry Racculia, Megan Graham, and Amy Brennan; grandson, Matthew (Jenny); great-granddaughter, Isabella; and many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Brookdale Memory Care in Fayetteville and The Grand at Chittenango for their care and support during Ginny’s ongoing struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
To celebrate Ginny’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.
Ginny will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
