Virginia M. “Ginny” Parker

Virginia M. Parker, 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday at home. Born in Utica, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Virginia and her husband, Larry, operated their wicker restoration shop together for 40 years called The Outback. In her free time, she enjoyed antiquing and gardening.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Parker; first husband, Clifford Isbell; and parents, Casey and Marion Smith.

Surviving are her children, Douglas (Casey Gross) Isbell, Cynthia (Jim McConnon) Thayer, and Mark (Linda) Isbell; grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Isbell, Shawn Massoom, Kyle (Christina) Lepowski, and Elizabeth (Matthew) DuShaw; six great-grandchildren; and several stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To celebrate Virginia’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A graveside service will follow in Howlett Hill Cemetery, Syracuse, where Virginia will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pawsitively Cute Pet Rescue, 90 Vollmer Pkwy., Rochester, NY 14623.
