Virginia V. Bergman, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Crouse Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Virginia enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy, scratch-offs, word search puzzles and Bingo. An animal lover, she especially enjoyed her cockatiel, Petey.
Virginia was predeceased by her daughter, Georgianna Johnson; grandson, Christopher Young; and 12 sisters and brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia (Mark) Kurec, Barbara Ryan, Georgette (Joe) Griffin, Bonnie Wassel and Laura (Jay Procita) Bergman; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
