Wendell D. Strickland

Wendell D. Strickland, 89, of Camillus, passed away Friday. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and earned his bachelor's degree from S.U. Wendell was an Army veteran and owned Betts, Strickland & Munro, Inc. for 40 years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed racing and breeding horses, but above all, he loved spending time with his family. 

Wendell was predeceased by his wife, Nancy; son, William; and brother, Richard.

Surviving are his son, Eric (Michele) of Melbourne, FL, and Baldwinsville, NY; sister, Jean Latimer of Yulee, FL; and grandchildren, Brent, Tori, Brooke, Gavin, and Hannah.

At Wendell’s request, there will be no calling hours or service.
