William H. Revette

June 26, 1948 — July 18, 2025

Elbridge

William H. Revette, 77, of Elbridge, passed away peacefully on Friday at Auburn Community Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and cherished memories. Known to many for his strong work ethic and generous spirit, Bill built a life grounded in dedication—to his work, his passions, and most of all, to the people he loved.

For over 25 years, “Mr. Bill” was self-employed as a trucker, lending his skill and reliability to a variety of companies throughout the region. He took great pride in his work and valued the relationships he built along the way. Whether hauling aggregate or sharing a story at a truck stop, he brought a friendly presence and dependable hand to every job.

Outside of work, Bill had a zest for life that was felt by everyone who knew him. He loved riding his motorcycle, especially on warm days when the road stretched out ahead of him. Deer hunting was one of his pastimes with his brother, something Bill looked forward to each year. He enjoyed playing cards and the good conversations and laughter that often came with it. But above all, what he cherished most was time spent with his family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn, in 2014; grandson, Justin, in 2014; parents, Charles and Marion; six sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are his daughters, Michelle (Thomas) Noble of Fairfax, VT and Kelly Fisher of Elbridge; son, Joseph (Traci) of Ballston Spa; sister, Marion (Robert) Ladowski of St. Cloud, FL; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson and one great-grandchild on the way; companion, Angil Hoch of Elbridge; and many nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Bill’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Church, 229 W. Yates St., E. Syracuse.

Bill will be laid to rest in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation, 211 N. 12th St., Lincoln, NE 68508.
