Obituary for Robert Henry Kemp

Robert Henry Kemp, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the VA Medical Center. Born in NYC, he moved to Syracuse in 1995. He was an Army veteran and retired in 1995. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Skaneateles Food Pantry and Community General Hospital.

Robert was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Marie Kemp.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Marie Emmerson; daughter, Ellen Krumm of Redmond, WA; sons, Steven of Ypsilanti, MI, Robert of Tully and Thomas of Camp Hill, PA; and nine grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be Thursday, December 13 at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Robert will be laid to rest in Long Island National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 37 W. Genesee St., Skaneateles, NY 13152.
